Tonight, at the SBW Stables Theatre, the 2008 Griffin Award was awarded to playwright Rick Viede for Whore – “a poetic and explosive exploration of desire, capitalism and the body”.
Griffin Theatre Company has released the judges’ shortlist of eight
plays in the running for the 2008 Griffin Award - the prestigious
annual prize offered for an outstanding new, unproduced Australian play
or performance text.
Riflemind by Sydney Theatre Company Co-Artistic Director Andrew Upton, and directed by
Philip Seymour Hoffman, will open at the Trafalgar Studios in London's West End in
