Each year an outstanding advocate of Australian music is invited to deliver an address which, in the spirit of the great Australian Composer Peggy Glanville-Hicks, challenges the status quo and raises issues of importance in the world of today’s music.

On Sunday 16 November, Belvoir St Theatre welcomes Kristy Edmunds, 2005 - 2008 Artistic Director of the acclaimed Melbourne International Arts Festival, to present the 2008 Philip Parsons Memorial Lecture.

The Company B 2009 Season, launched last night at Belvoir St Theatre, is an intrepid journey that will, over 12 months, take audiences across countries, decades, cultures and circumstances.
