
This production dabbles with a lot of contentious issues; the experience of deaf people in the community, animal rights, the issue of informed consent, the nature of love and the ethics of who can love in the eyes of the law.


I have renewed faith in stand up comedy after seeing UK-comedian Zoe Lyons. Clownbusting is a magnificently written and delivered show which holds from start to finish.


On this particular evening the theatre is half empty and despite the talent of its comedians, the mood is rather subdued.

Is he funny? Frequently. Do you have to agree with him? Of course not. Is he a paranoid nutjob? No. He's intelligent, well-read and simply has his own reasons for rejecting most of modern society.
