

The concept for the production is interesting and engaging but unfortunately the script seems a little convoluted at times which muddies the story.

Vibrant and skilled voices, an excellent orchestra, beautiful costumes, a clever set design, introductory lecture in the foyer and a glossy program gelled perfectly on the night to present a world-class opera experience.

Andrew Bovell’s Speaking in Tongues is an indisputable classic of the Australian stage. ANTiX’s rendition is unfortunately somewhat less remarkable.
