Tall Poppy Blues (aka Greatest Hits)Tall Poppy Blues (aka Greatest Hits) at The Butterfly Club is certainly a show that delivers on its promise.

Written by Chris Wallace with Musical Direction by Cameron Thomas and Enzo Roberto’s accompaniment on the double bass, this show is cleverly created around common motifs of life: Love and loss, Success, Belonging and Childhood. Tall Poppy Blues (aka Greatest Hits) presented by OLENTANGY MUSIC was skilfully narrated by the cast, providing structure and theme to the musical numbers and enticing personal connection with the songs.

Starring Ed Deganos, Amelia Ryan, Sarahlouise Younger and Karlis Zaid, the quirky and bawdy humour of the show engaged the audience immediately and held them for the duration of the performance. The artists were electric and showcased their wonderful talent both individually and as a group. The varied song and musical style choice was applauded strongly by the audience, ranging from blues and ballads to country the choice echoed the rhythm of one’s life.

The charismatic performances by the vocalists were enhanced by the definite characterisations for each number. The show was suited incredibly well to the venue and the audience enjoyed a beautiful and playful evening.
