
This is undoubtedly some of the most exciting work to come out of Australia but interestingly, it is not set in Australia, nor does it feature characters or issues that are unique to our country, culture or history.


Viewing Strangeland is all about surrendering to the experience and absorbing the carefully crafted atmosphere, rather than searching for narrative or connection to character.

Spectacular is two death scenes placed side by side, both literal and metaphorical representations and both drawn out and meandering, filled with heavy breathing and a very dry sense of humour.

Knives in Hens is full of metaphors and ambiguity, a work that for its audience, resonates in such a way that experience is a must and articulation near impossible.
