
In the 45th Anniversary Season, The ABS presents a collection of works that pay homage to some of the most inventive choreographers and designers of their individual times, in a well-balanced combination of eras and moods.


One minute she’s all rock-n-roll, the next moment she’s in the Weimar era and after that, she goes country western.

As performer Charles Ross enters the stage and starts humming the 20th Century Fox tune, it quickly becomes apparent that this is going to be a faithful scene-by-scene reproduction of the entire trilogy.

As a whole, Silence works well. Playwright Hoa Pham fits the heavy themes, including incest, adultery and abandonment, into a One Act format with a light and graceful hand.

Phil Enchelmaier’s The Perfect Dish, directed by Dave Barclay, and starring Gerard Lane as Ritchie, is a show within a show and an interesting combination of musical, confession, and stand-up comedy.
