Here Lies Henry throws out the rule book on what defines theatre and how it must be made. Matthew Hyde manages to flawlessly deliver an exceedingly complex text and is riveting from start to finish. Not to mention nuanced. Without a doubt, even with several months of unseen acting to come, his must stand as one of the best showings of 2012.

Rope Burn is not a play about death. It is a play about more than not wanting to die. It is dynamic, comic, tragic, and deeply, deeply human. This one should definitely be part of your Fringe festival.

Footprints on Water is a claustrophobic play. Set in a small town that people seem cursed to live in and cursed to never leave, it is a dark, ominous, and sometimes blackly funny look at religion, hysteria, hypocrisy, cruelty, identity, racism, beginnings, ends, and the apocalypse.

Ovo, while not perhaps as perfect as it could hope to be, is still a tantalising trip for young and old alike, offering a serving of rarefied circus snippets that linger long after the insects have flown from the stage.

The concept of A Trivial Pursuit is great but the execution is not. It has ideas and moments that I like (as well as a really good set), but the writing, direction, and acting could all use some improvement.

The characters are all very engaging, and the dialogue is every bit as sharp as Much Ado About Nothing. Don't think about it too much, and you'll have a ball.
