

Presented by Night Train Productions as part of the Fremantle Festival, Orpheus and Eurydice is a beautiful and ethereal exploration of the iconic Greek myth that unfortunately lacks enough weight and gravitas to have any real emotional impact.

It was with some apprehension that I entered the auditorium along with all the other mostly female audience members who were already giggling merrily among themselves.


Who or what is Australian? How Australian is an Aussie? Is it by their appearance, their food, the accent, the colour of the skin or behaviour?

Inspired by random suggestions from the audience, Glenn Hall, creative director of Spontaneous Insanity, endeavoured to weave the stories together and for the most part, the cast cleverly picked up on his character development cues.
