A lost voice. A hidden voice. A woman ahead of her time. Finding Connie is a 60-minute concert interwoven with storytelling, uncovering the life and songs of Connie Converse — a songwriter who disappeared without a trace in 1974. Written through the 1950s, Connie’s folk-inspired songs were never released in her lifetime. After her disappearance, her recordings remained virtually unheard for more than 35 years. When they finally resurfaced, they revealed a body of work that was intimate, fearless, and astonishingly ahead of its time. Presented by Mirabilis Collective as part of FRINGE WORLD Festival, this reimagined Fringe show features a stripped-back quintet and the luminous voice of Luce Nicholls, bringing Connie’s music into the light.
