What's On

#SoulCabaret - Musical Theatre performers on a soul trip!

Who’s a clever actor then?!  Yes, you’ve seen them on the theatrical stage before.  Katrina Retallick (The Wharf Revue, South Pacific, Big Fish), Teresa Tate Britten (Jatinga, The Memorandum, The Sideshow), Madison McKoy (The View Upstairs, Big River, Miss Saigon), Damon Grebert-Wade {piano} (Gypsy, Grease Arena Experience, Legally Blonde) and Byron Mark {cajón} (Petulant Frenzy, Arrebato Ensemble). Tonight, these artists are stepping out on the soul side of town to deliver some of the world’s best known soul and rnb tunes right to your front door.  Well, Camelot’s front door actually -- minus the usual musical theatre drama. :-) Check them out in #SoulCabaret getting down with the sounds of Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5, TLC, The Doobie Bros, Sister Sledge, Corinne Bailey Rae and Stevie Wonder, of course -- Plus many more... You don’t want to miss it!!!  Grab a group of friends and come get your... soul on!!!

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.
