Performance Space’s Indigelab seeks indigenous artists for once in a lifetime opportunity.
IndigeLab is back for 2011, seeking 10 Indigenous artists from all disciplines for a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in 11 days of challenging discussion, exchange, experimentation and play.
After successful programs in 2007, 2009 and 2010,
IndigeLab, an exclusive laboratory for Indigenous artists will be returning to Bundanon for the last time.
IndigeLab will take place at the Yvonne and Arthur Boyd Education Centre in Riversdale, Bundanon Trust’s Glen Murcutt designed artist’s retreat on the Shoalhaven River. Indigenous visual artists, actors, writers, directors, dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, puppeteers, theatre-makers and interdisciplinary artists are all invited to apply.
Successful applications will be offered a place at the lab, which will take place between 29 September – 9 October 2011. $1,000 in honoraria, accommodation and meals for the duration of the lab and transport between Sydney and Bundanon will be provided.
IndigeLab alumni have included artists such as Bindi Cole, Vernon Ah Kee, Zane Saunders, Will Jarrett (Wire MC).
Past facilitators have included Wesley Enoch, Darlene Johnson and Brook Andrew.
Applications are now open until 5pm,
