Monkey Baa Theatre for Young People have been selected to present Jackie French's Hitler's Daughter at the IPAY Conference to be held in Florida USA January 2011. Monkey Baa is one of only 15 theatre companies worldwide to be selected to showcase at this event.

IPAY is the International Performing Arts for Youth Conference and the Showcase is presented to 400-500 theatre and festival Directors from all over North America and Canada.

Monkey Baa and Jackie French launched a massive fundraiser collecting $20,000 in donations plus the Australia Council and Arts NSW tipped in so that 9 company members could go to Florida
  • Monkey Baa won the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Presentation for Children for our Production of Sonya Hartnett's Thursday's Child.
  • Monkey Baa has been selected to present Jackie French's Hitler's Daughter (another Helpmann Award winning show in 2007 for the company) at the prestigious IPAY Conference to be held in Florida USA January 2011. Monkey Baa is one of only 15 theatre companies world wide to be selected to showcase at this event. IPAY is the International Performing Arts for Youth Conference and the Showcase is presented to 400-500 theatre and festival Directors from all over North America and Canada.

  • In order to raise funds for this unique opportunity Jackie French launched their Angels with Wings appeal which raised $20,000 in donations. This together with grants from the Australia Council and Arts NSW will enable 9 company members to attend the Conference this coming January.
