It’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s 25th birthday – and everyone’s invited!
Attention comedy wannabees: entries are now open for the country’s largest (and funniest) cultural festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
From 30 March – 24 April the Festival’s placing its Godzilla-sized footprint over the CBD and expanding from Trades Hall to Melbourne Town Hall, City Square to Fed Square and the Yarra Precinct, and even out to the Arts Centre where The Famous Spiegeltent will be glamming up the forecourt.
With more than 508,000 people attending Comedy Festival events in 2010, it is now one of the three largest Comedy Festivals in the world along with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival.
