Expressions of Interest are now open for venues in the North Melbourne Fringe Hub. Closing date is 30th April so the time to start planning your 2010 Melbourne Fringe event is now. The Fringe managed spaces at the Hub are always in high demand, offering a unique and valuable experience for emerging and established artist alike.

"We're kicking our search for the best of Australia's independent arts scene into high gear. The Fringe Hub venues offer a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of the 2010 Melbourne Fringe Festival, with multiple spaces showcasing new and bold works to large audiences," says Beau McCafferty, Independent Program Producer. "Artists with exciting, highly crafted work should get in touch with us right now!"

The Fringe Hub reflects the fresh and bold work that Melbourne Fringe is all about. From the large and ambitious to the intricate and intimate, the spaces at the Hub offer artists and producers a high profile, supportive and busy location for the duration of their Melbourne Fringe Festival show.

In 2009 Melbourne Fringe included over 300 shows and events at 143 venues around town. Over half a million audience members immersed themselves in the gems on offer from Melbourne's vibrant independent arts scene.

If you're planning on being a part of the 2010 Melbourne Fringe Festival as an artist, venue, producer or programmer then you really shouldn't be anywhere else but the Evelyn Hotel at 6:30pm on Monday April 19.

We're holding our annual Venues Forum, highlighting what is, at this time of year, the most crucial element of getting your show together. There will be speakers from a diverse range of venues, as well as artists experienced in utilising unusual spaces, additionally there will be many artists hunting for the right venue for them. This is a really fantastic opportunity to make contacts, and access valuable information and resources.
