The Melbourne Comedy Festival invites comedy lovers to sign up for the ultimate comedy lovers' challenge and the Amazing Race of comedy madness, The Funny Tonne. Find out how many laughs your belly can really handle as you attempt to devour more shows than everyone else at this year’s Comedy Festival.

Since 2005, The Funny Tonne has seen comedy die-hards race head to head, smile to smile, in the world’s premier competitive audience challenge. Armed with a special Comedy Passport that gets contestants in for free to as many shows as they like (while also verifying attendance), he or she who has seen the most shows at the end of the Festival wins the coveted trophy.

Tech savvy and full of sass, the successful candidates can be followed on Twitter and send tweets before, between and after the shows – from the Big Laugh Out to seat warming at the Gala - they can even start tweeting before the Festival begins. And if that isn’t enough, instant mini-reviews will be posted by our Funny Tonners on the Festival website once the Festival crosses over the starting line

With over 350 shows in the 2010 Melbourne Comedy Festival, our Tonners will have their shields raised and helmets donned as they battle it out to see as many shows as in(humanly) possible. Game on!
