Adelaide Festival Centre's CEO and Artistic Director, Douglas Gautier has announced FOXTEL would be the principal partner for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2009.

Given the Festival's success over the past eight years, and under David Campbell's new artistic leadership, this partnership is clear recognition of the Festival's increasing national profile. For years our audiences have enjoyed the best cabaret performances from around the world and with this new partnership we believe the Festival's reputation will be further enhanced."
FOXTEL is Australia's leading subscription television provider and connects to more than 1.5 million homes on cable and satellite through retail and wholesale distribution. This means through the partnership the Adelaide Cabaret Festival has the potential to reach 5.5 million viewers across FOXTEL'S 100 channels.
The partnership with FOXTEL will span 3 years until the 2011 Adelaide Cabaret Festival. FOXTEL Executive Director of Television and Marketing Brian Walsh said "The Adelaide Cabaret Festival is renowned for providing a superb array of entertainment and, as the Festival's new principal partner, FOXTEL is proud to be supporting such a vital part of the city's social and artistic calendar. Well-known FOXTEL personality Antonia Kidman will be one of the Ambassadors involved with the Festival.
