Metro Arts is calling for proposals for Metro Arts’ 2009 Independents Program for presentation in the second half of 2009. Two applications will be selected for the Independents Program.
We are also calling for applications for the Company in Residence. The Company in Residence Program offers the selected company a small studio within the Metro Arts Building for 12 months and professional development support to assist with operational and business planning, strategic marketing and positioning.
The Metro Arts artistic policy is guided by open platform programming. We are seeking proposals from artists working in a broad range of art forms and at different stages of development, from emerging through to established practitioners looking to experiment within their practice. The selection process is focused on the artists’ objectives for the project and their commitment, skill and experience. Metro Arts’ open platform selection process is guided by 30 years of organisational experience in supporting the independent artist sector.
