The aim of the fundraiser is to help raise $100,000 towards Griffin Ambassadors, our Resident Playwrights and artistic development programs - encouraging the next generation of playwrights and theatre audiences.
On the night, there will be entertainment, with exclusive performances from David Campbell (Company / It Takes Two), Helen Dallimore (Wicked), Sharon Millerchip, Jairo Sanchez Rivera (Satango) and Ursula Yovich (Snugglepot and Cuddlepie).
Other well-known names attending on the night will include – Kate Fitzpatrick, Abe Forsythe, Alex Dimitriades, Tina Bursill, Jack Finsterer, Belinda Mcclory, Tommy Murphy and Margaret Pomeranz.
There will be running competitions, with Lucky Libations – a special cocktail designed for the night by the Bayswater Brasserie, bringing with it the opportunity to win a weekend away; a Raffle – and the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to Adelaide to attend the opening night of the 2008 Adelaide Festival and opening night party; and Griffin Greats – a competition to guess some of the great Griffin productions over the last 30 years and win enough coffee to fuel the writing of your own play.
There is also the chance to take home an exclusive personal interview with Andrew Denton, a private dinner cooked by James Kidman (Head Chef from Otto’s Ristorante), a kayaking adventure for 10, a year of theatre tickets and twelve dinners in twelve months at some of the top Sydney restaurants amongst many other prizes – through our auction, hosted by Richard Glover on the night!
