Now is your chance to be a part of The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival!

As we prepare for the excitement of The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival
(26 September – 14 October), Melbourne Fringe is calling out for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers.

Do you want to experience the Festival from the inside - hang out with the artists, meet exciting people from all over the world, see great shows and be a part of the dynamic team that brings the whole event to life?

We need people throughout September and October for front of house, catering, bar work, launch nights, stage management, box office, administration and more. The list is long - you name it and you can probably do it during the Festival.

Melbourne Fringe could not survive without its extraordinarily generous volunteers and in return, we are committed to offering community members of all backgrounds intensive learning experiences in a vibrant, exciting and practical training ground (not to mention providing a great way to meet a diverse range of people and see some of the fabulous Melbourne Fringe shows for free).

In 2006, 277 people volunteered to work for Melbourne Fringe, collectively donating 4,394 hours of their time which is equivalent to one person working for two years and five months solid!

Many of our volunteers go on to secure employment in the arts as a result of the experience and contacts they have made whilst volunteering for Melbourne Fringe.

"Volunteering is such a fantastic way to get real hands-on job experience and insight into an industry. This type of experience is highly valued by employers; it can often help differentiate your CV from the rest! We're really excited to be sponsoring the Fringe volunteer program this year",
said Lisa Watts, MyCareer.com.au General Manager.

So come and volunteer! A great chance to gain experience in the arts, see some shows for free and have a ball.

Just go to www.melbournefringe.com.au, download and complete the Volunteer Form, then prepare for a frenetic but fabulous Festival experience!
