From Wed August 1, Adelaide Fringe 2008 is open for business. The call has gone out for all artists to register to participate in the largest Fringe Festival in the southern hemisphere.

From August 1 to October 19, artists can register their events online at www.adelaidefringe.com.au and become part of Fringe history.

Plans are already well underway for the Adelaide Fringe 2008 following the recent launch of the poster design competition. Now the doors are open to artists who would like to register an event as part of the Fringe.

“This is truly an exciting phase for us at the Adelaide Fringe as the next three months really do determine both the look and the content of our 2008 event,”
says Adelaide Fringe Director Christie Anthoney.

“This is the time when we discover which big, well-loved acts, as well as which brilliant new artists, will be bringing their events to hungry Adelaide audiences!

“We encourage all artists wanting to take part in Adelaide Fringe 2008 to go to the Adelaide Fringe website and register their event to make sure they don’t miss out,”
she said.

“The great thing about Fringe is that it’s an open access event so all artists have the opportunity to be part of it.”

To register an event, artists can head to the Adelaide Fringe website www.adelaidefringe.com.au

Artist registrations are open from Wednesday 1 August and close on Friday 19 October 2007.
