$10,000 cash awaits the winner of THE COMEDY CHANNEL Short Film Festival in 2007. Entries are now open for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s celebration of screen comedy.
THE COMEDY CHANNEL Short Film Festival aims to uncover the next big, funny filmmaker, with previous winners including Adam Elliott (before he won his Oscar!) and, Frank Woodley (from Lano & Woodley).
After entries close on Monday 19 February at 5pm, a panel of celebrities and film industry experts will decide on their favourite films. Finalists will compete for $10,000 cash for the winning entry and other great prizes to be awarded at the 12th Annual Competition Screenings at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, which runs from 4 – 29 April 2007.
The winners and all finalists' films will receive national television exposure on THE COMEDY CHANNEL, and the public will also get the chance to vote for their favourites in the People’s Choice Award, at screenings held during the Comedy Festival.
To be eligible for entry, films must be no longer than 10 minutes, they must be submitted on DVD PAL (all regions) format and, above all, they must be funny!
