What's On

Seymour Nights - Lady Lyon

This Spring/Summer, the Seymour Centre courtyard lights up on Saturday nights with a lineup of emerging artists who are shaking up the scene and making space for bold, new sounds.

Enjoy the free entertainment and courtyard games, plus delicious food trucks, a pop-up bar for your Saturday bevvies, and music to keep the energy high between live acts.

Lady Lyon writes their songs like they make love. Pure, threatening, and sumptuous nostalgia for the heart that will linger in you long after your feet stop the inevitable two-step.

“Cub is a diamond forged under pressure and if this were the only thing I ever made, I’d still go out proud and fulfilled. Like most songwriters, I turn life’s highs and lows—the beautiful and the brutal—into something I hope resonates with others too. I wanted to create something fun and joyful, even as it deals with complicated feelings—regret, loss, shame, guilt, fear, and love. In true Lady Lyon style, I wrapped those emotions in upbeat melodies and catchy riffs, and the band gave them bite.” - Hayley Lyon

Lady Lyon's set times are 5:15pm – 5:55pm and 6:10pm – 6:45pm

This production is not so much a play as an essay in non binary advancement over five hundred years, some visually impressive, some laboured like the interminable vignettes that end the play.

    Meow Meow’s The Red Shoes
Initial inertia blazes into an exuberant crazy kamikaze cabaret, a loose rendering and deconstruction of Hans Christian Andersen’s so called fairy tale.
