Caution, Under Concussion!

Silvi Santoso, a.k.a. Asian Roseanne is down under from September to November for the world premiere of CUC: Caution, Under Concussion! This show is an honest and hilarious sneak peek into Santoso’s journey in living with invisible disabilities, how to find a new purpose in life, all while experiencing a spectrum reaction from others.

The performance integrates stories, jokes, and song parodies to exhibit the harsh reality of looking good when you are indeed suffering.

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” But what if life gives you not just lemons, but a variety of fruits, vegetables and more? What if all of those are invisible? Santoso‘s life changed drastically after an accident that created an enormous shift in her cognitive and physical capabilities.

Whilst mourning the loss of her old self, including her abilities that previously defined her, and how she lived her life by pushing her limits - which is a No No when you are recovering from a concussion, it took Santoso a long time to accept herself and re-learn to take a break, and understand her unpredictable daily threshold.

“Sometimes what we perceive as our weakness including the disabilities is what makes us stronger and special.”, Silvi Santoso.
