
What a great title – I can’t count the number of times I’ve been amazed at my kids’ knowledge of some issue or classic movie, only to be told: “I saw it on The Simpsons.”

As a comedian, performer and writer, Celia, it seems, is forging herself a most enviable reputation both here and abroad, winning prestigious comedy awards and nominations; and 2016 marks her 10th anniversary in stand-up.

This is not a slick show – at least not in the sense that the lines are carefully written and rehearsed beforehand. Its messy and playful, things don’t go as expected and words come out wrong. The audience is constantly surprised and surprising. But that's what makes it so much fun.

I have always been sceptical of stage hypnosis but I'm here today to say that it’s real. Imagine forgetting your own name? Never. But last night a young volunteer did exactly that, then was later persuaded his name was something else altogether.
