What's On

The Lady Vanishes

When Iris Carr befriends kindly governess Miss Froy on a train bound for England, she never imagines that she will become embroiled in a madcap caper, with a plot worthy of Hitchcock himself. After a brief nap, Iris awakes to find Miss Froy gone. What’s more, all the other passengers claim never to have seen the woman at all. As Iris frantically searches the train for her new friend, a cast of outrageous characters thwart her every move (and keep the audience in stitches).

In this hilarious adaptation of Ethel Lina White’s novel The Wheel Spins, Iris stops at nothing to prove the existence of Miss Froy. With the help of flirtatious Max and his haughty friend the Professor, Iris hurtles up and down the train, leaving no carriage (or cloche) unturned. Can Iris find Miss Froy before it’s too late? Or will the audience die laughing before the lady reappears?
