What's On

Rope

Known for its tension-filled atmosphere and focus on the psychological mind-games between characters, Rope delves into the chilling consequences of a seemingly 'perfect' crime carried out by two young men, Wyndham Brandon and Charles Granillo. Who believe they can commit murder, hide the body in a chest right in front of their unsuspecting guests, and escape punishment, "for the sake of danger and for the sake of killing."

Welcome to the 23RD Theatre Company!
We're a trio of graduate creatives who're looking to make ourselves heard/known; our lil' family was formed with the hopes of creating opportunities for ourselves as well as other aspiring, emerging performers alike, both on and offstage!

To put it simply, we want to perform plays for us whilst supporting fellow artists, actors, and creatives by giving them work and experience from our curated 'passion-project' shows.

Keep an eye out on this space, as well as our other socials, for updates, casting briefs, announcements, and more!

We're so looking forward to working with you!!

A gifted embroider of words, Friel combines soft lyricism and hard meaning in his play, a tragical comical historical pastoral on a spree and spoiling for a spirited spar.

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.

The First Murder | Pinchgut Opera
In the care of Pinchgut Opera’s director, Erin Helyard, this music, formulaic as it indeed is in some respects, sprang off the page into an experience rich in emotions.
