What's On

Greeking Out

Greeking Out is a one-woman comedy show that’s giving... fictional standup meets masterclass meets party for Dionysus!

The play begins and so does class. We’re greeted by Professor Ari who, in 60 minutes, will test the audience’s knowledge on Greek gods, Greek myths, and trifle (yes, the dessert!). Professor Ari’s unique insights into the Minotaur myth will reveal new information that has never been shared before... It’s just a class, right? So what could go wrong?

Created and performed by theatre-maker Rebecca Perich, Greeking Out: Mythology 101 is a light-hearted comedy tackling an ancient myth that still resonates with contemporary audiences, and exemplifies how history is written by victors.... mostly, men.

Greeking Out will be performed at The Butterfly Club’s One Act Festival from Wednesday, February 26th until Saturday, March 1st, 2025.

A MESSAGE FROM PROFESSOR ARI:
Oh, hi there, and welcome to "Greeking Out" a class designed to challenge what you think you know about Greek myths. Today we'll be talking about the Minotaur myth. Wait! Have you done your homework? If you haven't seen KAOS (Netflix) I beg you, please do it NOW! So many creative licenses, so much to discuss... So do your homework, grab your friends, come to class and get ready to leave ready to win any Trivia Night... (Greek-myth themed Trivia night, I guess... specifically addressing the Minotaur myth... because that’s all we can cover in just 60 min.).

May the gods protect you,
Professor Ari
