Macbeth

MUST (Monash Uni Student Theatre) presents William Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Alexander Theatre, bringing to life a timeless tragedy of ambition and fate. Directed by MUST’s Artistic Director Yvonne Virsik, this production features a talented cast of 23, delivering Shakespeare's powerful verse with raw intensity and emotional depth.

Macbeth explores the destructive consequences of unchecked ambition, diving into the psychological turmoil of its titular character as he grapples with his thirst for power and the inescapable forces of fate. With its evocative themes of masculinity, political ambition, and moral decay, the play resonates deeply with contemporary audiences.

Following in the footsteps of their productions of Spring Awakening and Kill Climate Deniers, at the Alexander Theatre, MUST’s Macbeth promises to be an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss this haunting, visceral, and thought-provoking performance that will leave audiences captivated long after the final curtain.
