What's On

Freakshow

Who lurks behind the curtain? Are you ready to experience a show not quite like any other?

Freakshow is a 45-minute cabaret-style, Lynchian fever dream of weirdos, comedy and pure entertainment that will take you on a journey into the Twilight Zone.

Freakshow is a dark comedy that delves into the lives of a ramshackle band of "freaks," held together by The Ringmaster, an alcoholic dreamer longing for the days of old.

A deteriorating sideshow, barely sustaining itself under The Ringmaster's nostalgic yet misguided leadership, its eclectic characters capture the essence of human curiosity and the darker side of our need for amusement.

Balancing absurdity with poignancy, Freakshow is comedic, heartwarming, and disturbing all at once, promising to entertain and surprise you.

Every ticket includes a raffle ticket for the nightly grand prize draw worth $200.

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.
