TRACK WORKS

Train delays have never been this operatic.

All aboard! Prepare to embark on a spectacular musical journey as TRACK WORKS, a breathtaking site-specific pastiche opera, illuminates Sydney’s iconic Mortuary Station from 21 November – 19 December.

Step inside the historic sandstone train station in the heart of Chippendale and become immersed in the story of five commuters grappling with different everyday issues on their delayed journeys home. TRACK WORKS weaves together arias from the world’s greatest operas and arranges them into an original and contemporary story.

Featuring a stellar ensemble cast of the country’s finest young opera singers, and set against the enchanting architectural backdrop of Mortuary Station, TRACK WORKS is a once-in-a-lifetime experience about the great equalising power of Sydney’s public transport system.
