What's On

Church of the Clitori

This show is not only for or about women, it is for everyone. Think ‘Sex in the City’ meets ‘Book of Mormon.’

A church unlike any other - this is comedy and cabaret meets theatre and worship. A show that takes feminine power out of the box. The Church of the Clitori is an original production by independent, inclusive, body positive, satirical artists that call you to worship and to celebrate the Clitoris as one true path to Salvation - Clitoral Salvation.

It will open up more than just your mind.

Anticipate: goddesses and gods, worshipped side by side; to sing in praise with the greatest Clit Hits - every Clit is sacred; thought provoking sermons from the Mound; a gentle touch on science.

If you: have one; like playing with and pleasing one; want one; know nothing about them; are curious about biology, humanity and commonalities -
then this show is for you.

A gifted embroider of words, Friel combines soft lyricism and hard meaning in his play, a tragical comical historical pastoral on a spree and spoiling for a spirited spar.

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.

In the care of Pinchgut Opera’s director, Erin Helyard, this music, formulaic as it indeed is in some respects, sprang off the page into an experience rich in emotions.
