Lesbian Love Stories

After sold out seasons across multiple festivals in 2021/2022, a regional road trip, and a cheeky Matilda Award nomination for Best Mainstage Musical/Cabaret, your favourite girl gang is ready to hit Sydney/Gadigal audiences for Sydney WorldPride Pride Amplified.

But You Don't Look Gay?

‘Lesbian Love Stories’ is an intimate cabaret/verbatim piece performed by three lesbians, and one rockin’ pianist. It features tales of lady love from across the globe, told anonymously through song, speech and prose. LLS is an honest, fun, and heartwarming piece that allows the performers and anonymous contributors to truly be themselves - while providing the audience with an inside glimpse of the lesbian experience. Above all else, it's a fun night out that’ll bring laughter, rockin harmonies and an awkward moment (or three).

“It's funny, it's witty and it's brave! ★★★★★" - Broadway World

"The trios harmonies are electric" - ArtsHub

"Great comedic timing" - Weekend Notes

"A well-paced, slickly produced show" - Australian Arts

"It’s as if they’ve finished their Broadway shows for the night and have headed to the nearby jazz bar for a spontaneous concert while intermittently sharing personal tales with friends." - ArtsHub

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.
  • The Glass Menagerie | Melbourne Theatre Company
This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.

In the care of Pinchgut Opera’s director, Erin Helyard, this music, formulaic as it indeed is in some respects, sprang off the page into an experience rich in emotions.
