A Play by Lu BradshawDeveloped through Fruit Box Theatre’s RIPE Development Program and presented during Sydney WorldPride. “I carry with me an illustrious history of anger” It’s 11:00pm and our trans-masculine narrator is in a deserted Officeworks. They are playing “Comfort, Spin, Travel”, a game designed to test the efficacy of wheely chairs. A playful exploration of family, community, and gender identity, Comfort, Spin, Travel explores the responsibility placed on trans people to advocate, educate, and be endlessly patient. How do we measure the usefulness of a person? And what happens when you stop playing the game?
