Be captivated as Willoughby Symphony Orchestra present the exceptional Legends concert on 23 & 24 July in the stunning concert hall at The Concourse, Chatswood with Chief Conductor Dr Nicholas Milton AM. In this thrilling concert the orchestra conjures the dark spirits of Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky’s demonic tone poem, Night on Bald Mountain, before internationally renowned Australian pianist Vivian Choi-Milton joins the orchestra for Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2, one of the instrument’s greatest masterpieces. The orchestra will also showcase Czech master melodist Antonin Dvořak’s Symphony No. 7– thought by many to be his greatest work, surpassing even his famous Ninth Symphony, From the New World. The extraordinary Willoughby Symphony Orchestra has been dazzling audiences of all ages with breathtaking music for more than 50 years. Recognised as Australia’s finest community orchestra, Willoughby Symphony excels across an extraordinarily broad repertoire spectrum encompassing orchestral classics and innovative works.
