What's On

Anna Bonela

After achieving huge success with Opera Australia’s first digital production, Aida in 2018, Davide Livermore will return to Sydney to direct the tragic yet exhilarating tale of Anna Bolena (Anna Boleyn).

Combining Donizetti’s classical heritage with Livermore’s signature high-tech designs, this first Instalment of Donizetti’s Three Queens Trilogy will set in motion a display of intrepid humanities.

With ardent melodies, fiery singing and acrobatic coloratura, Livermore’s Anna Bolena channels the conniving and reckless behaviour that marks the reign of Henry VIII.
