Ladies and gentlemen, we’re thrilled to announce for the first time ever in Australia two of the world’s great jazz performers will be joining forces to showcase their exceptional talents, in one special show. This is one you do not want to miss!

What a scintillating combination, world-renowned trumpet maestro and ARIA Award Winner, James Morrison, and the stand out jazz vocalist of our time, Chicago’s Grammy Award Winner, Kurt Elling, together at last!

On the back of a recording a very special live album at the iconic Birdland Jazz Club in New York, this charismatic duo will be launching their Australian national tour in May 2019, kicking off in Melbourne, then Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth with their final show in Sydney.

Get ready to be mesmerized by renditions of your favourite jazz numbers and be entertained and enchanted by the brilliant showmanship and infectious energy of these gifted performers, with some of the best jazz musicians in the country, including the amazing New York based saxophonist, Troy Roberts.

Renowned globally as one of the finest jazz players of his generation, James Morrison is a not only a trumpet virtuoso, but the complete showman. James started playing professionally at age 13 and has a stellar professional career behind him: he has performed alongside the best jazz musicians of our generation and has had the privilege of performing for the President and First Lady of the United States. When asked about his extraordinary career, James declared, ‘This is just the warm-up!’.

GRAMMY winner Kurt Elling is among the world’s foremost jazz vocalists. He won the DownBeat Critics Poll for fourteen consecutive years and was named “Male Singer of the Year” by the Jazz Journalists Association on eight occasions. Grammy nominated over a dozen times, Elling has also been honored with international jazz awards, including the prestigious Edison Jazz Oeuvreprijs (Lifetime Achievement Award). Elling’s rich baritone spans four octaves and features both astonishing technical mastery and emotional depth.
