Smash Hits & Stereotypes

Strong drinks, farcical misunderstandings, intellectual debates, broken hearts, and catchy songs abound in Smash Hits & Stereotypes - an original indie musical! The characters will confront chaos, creation, sex, cosmic entropy, and cake! This is a theatrical show that fuses together the musical, the '90s slacker movie, noise rock, and Mozartean opera. Smash Hits & Stereotypes is back for this year's Sydney Fringe Festival from 12th- 19th September at The Newsagency. Tickets from sydneyfringe.com

The script is based on a true story, although this dramatisation can feel somewhat contrived, with important assertions not interrogated, and credibility stretched as a result.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.
