Super Science Saturday (11 August) will be an extraordinary day out for the entire family when the Australian Museum opens its doors and brings science to life for everyone!

There is so much to discover at the interactive Science Expo with over 20 booths delivering experiments, hands on demonstrations and more.

Watch explosive scientific action at the ‘Street Science’ Show. Find out what’s rumbling beneath the earth’s crust with ‘Volcanoes, eruptions and more’. Learn more about the relationship between science and culture with ‘Aboriginal Bush Food and Medicine’. Uncover what it takes to find the stories in science from a range of science journalists.

With live animal shows, face-painting, roaming scientists and more, you’ll discover just how mind-blowing science is!

Come along and see how science can be found in the most unexpected places.

Ticket includes: entry to the Museum & all available Science Festival activities at the Australian Museum. 
Children 2 and under, and the attendant carer of a Companion Card-holder have free entry to the Australian Museum and related Science Festival activities.

Please note that due to venue restraints, there are no strollers allowed in the theatre spaces and seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis for shows & workshops on the day. Visitors with access or inclusionary requirements will be accommodated to the best of our ability.

Please note both the north and the south wings of the Dinosaur Gallery are now closed for ceiling repairs. The centre of the gallery, which includes the giant plant-eater and display of dinosaur carnivores, is still open. The gallery is expected to reopen in full in September.
