COURTNEY ACT RETURNS FOR AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Courtney Act has been under the covers with many, but not usually in front of a live audience!

In Courtney’s brand new show Under the Covers, which will tour Australia in February/ March 2018, she will dazzle with songs by some of our favourite artists that have all been covered in some way. She strips songs down and flips them on their back to show audiences just how gender and genre fluid a great song can be. From Dolly Parton to Harry Styles and Spice Girls to Queen, Courtney will leave you pillow fighting and pillow biting!

Courtney Act burst on the scene in 2003 as the self-described first openly queer and gender diverse contestant on Australian Idol. Since then, Courtney has toured North America, the UK and Europe, Brazil, Asia and Australia with her political series American Act and her cabaret The Girl from Oz. She was voted FHM’s World’s Top 100 Sexiest Women and Fader Magazine’s “Ten People to Watch”.

“Coy, funny, sexy, classy, and thoroughly up-beat… Courtney is something fresh and inspiring.” – Manhattan Digest

"Her voice is astounding as she belts out ballads and leaves us in awe. She puts on a spectacular performance with a haunting tone to her voice that mesmerises the audience with every song she sings.” – Edinburgh Fringe Festival Mag

Courtney Act breaks the rules and lives life on the gender divide. She’s a pop star in the making for the new generation that is beyond labels. See Courtney “under the covers” next year – tickets on sale Friday 3 November.

VIP Experience Tickets includes seating in the front three rows, a signed tour poster and a Meet & Greet with Courtney Act herself.

This Glass Menagerie is top shelf, and while blessed with an extraordinary cast and the highest of production values, it will not meet with everyone’s measure of how this play should be staged.
