Frank GallacherThe Australian acting fraternity is saddened by the news that acting legend, Frank Gallacher passed away suddenly on Monday night.

Born in Scotland in 1943, Gallacher has been a mainstay of the Melbourne Theatre Company having performed in well over 30 plays as well as directing a number of productions for the Company. He also performed regularly with other major Australian companies including Sydney Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company, Playbox, Company B and State Theatre SA.

His agent Marea Jablonski, Director of BGM Actors Agency said: "It is with great sadness that BGM advises the sudden and unexpected passing of Frank Gallacher yesterday (Monday 23rd February). Frank was a formidable actor with an incredible award-winning body of work to his name. As one of the agency’s longest standing clients, Frank's talent, spirit and exuberance will be greatly missed.
 
His wife Belinda, children Conor and Brigid, and sister Eileen mourn his loss."
