QPAC gets a little bit country

Enjoy all things country on the front yard at QPAC at Alt Country on Saturday, 20 October.
QPAC’s second Front Yard Music concert, Alt Country is inspired by the depth and breadth of alternative country music in Brisbane, and will feature singer/songwriters and bands who will all tip the hat to both traditional and contemporary country music styles, from hillbilly and folk to bluegrass and gospel.
Locals in the line-up include The Horse You Rode In On, playing country flavoured original tunes, influenced by The Band, Hank Williams and Elvis; Chris Pickering, known for seducing audiences with his distinctive acoustic sound;  Sugartown, four young female artists who produce warm, harmonic fuelled ditties with charm; and DJ Lori Lee, whose personal collection of vinyl spanning the late 40s to the late 70s will pay tribute to traditional country giants and country influenced rockers, honky tonkers, psycobillies and rockabillies.
So bring your picnic blankets and toes to tap. Spring has well and truly sprung at QPAC.
Where: Melbourne Street Grass Plaza
When: Saturday 20 October, 1pm – 5pm
Tickets: FREE
