In response to the adverse reaction to an edited performance of Company, at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday 18th July, caused by the serious illness of a cast member, Kookaburra would like to restore the integrity of this performance, by holding a special charity performance of Company in support of Oz Show Biz Cares, one of the writers’ favourite charities and the Actors Benevolent Fund.
We invite all music theatre lovers to support Oz Show Biz Cares, Actors Benevolent Fund and this performance by booking through Ticketek. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Oz Show Biz Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund.
The performance will celebrate and confirm Kookaburra’s unconditional belief in the integrity of all musical theatre writers, Music Theatre International, and their agent Hal Leonard Australia and the Creatives, cast, crew and orchestra of Company.
Kookaburra celebrates the work of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth and apologises for interfering with the integrity of their work.
Kookaburra confirms its commitment to present with integrity to the Australian public the works of the MTI Catalogue and will use its best judgment when presenting these works.
Kookaburra also invites all audience members who attended the production on 18th July to take up the opportunity to be our guest at this special charity performance or any other performance of their choosing and enjoy the show in its entirety.
