Australian Producer Ross Mollison was today awarded The Clown Achievement of the Year Award in New York City for his presentation of Slava’s Snowshow. Described as a magical theatrical experience, Slava’s Snowshow played in NYC for 1004 performances for over two years up until January this year.
The Award is part of the first annual Golden Nose Awards Ceremony that will be held on May 21st.
Mr Mollison said today, “As a producer, I am more used to getting a blood nose. It’s really nice when something great like this happens – I will wear my golden nose with pride.”
Slava’s Snowshow will shortly tour Mexico for three months, followed by a return to Broadway this year in November. Plans are currently underway for the show to return to Australia in 2008/09.
