Fringe Benefits members will be among the first in Adelaide to party at the Garden of Unearthly Delights’ newest venue, SoCo Cargo. Two Fringe Benefits parties will take place in SoCo Cargo’s slick dance lounge on Thursday 1 March and Thursday 15 March. Hidden inside four steel shipping containers, SoCo Cargo is destined to become a favorite among Fringe punters seeking extreme late night grooves. Tomorrow’s Fringe Benefits party will be no exception, featuring the infectious grooves of the Levitators and the high energy live beats outfit, the Beat Smugglers.
Tomorrow’s party will also celebrate the launch of an exciting new exhibition in SoCo Cargo’s Lime Lounge. The first collection will feature works by local fashion designer Pixel, making a hybrid of flat imagery and sculpted fabrics and multidisciplinary artist Sarah crowEST working primarily in the area of sculpture. The second collection featuring works by Akira Akira and KAB101 will be launched at the next Fringe Benefits party at SoCo Cargo in two weeks time. The two collections are curated by Summa Durie and Mimi Kelly.
