

Each of the five featured female characters would relate a little of their history, working up to their becoming leading ladies of the jazz clubs and notorious rent parties, and sing a couple of songs they were known for at the time.

In a blistering hour and a quarter of rapid fire delivery Lucy delivered insights into subjects as varied as yoga retreats, gluten allergy and, of course, the shortcomings of the few available men to women over 40.


All in all it was a great night of traditional stand up perfectly pitched to an appreciative crowd.

Like several audience members I spoke to post-show I was absolutely bowled over by his refreshing, self-deprecating humour and dare I say it, charm.
