It starts with an eerie disappearance… What follows is a political horror comedy where the four lesbians that are blamed for the sudden disappearance one by one meet gruesome fates. Can one of them survive to set the record straight? SLAY is a devised theatrical work that explores representation of queer women from a group of emerging artists interested in using queer theatre to upend the status quo. This is a work that hits the audience like a tonne of bricks, moving at the pace we are now accustomed to consuming media. Through the lens of horror, the work examines the frightening rise in polarisation and it asks audiences what distinguishes truth from fiction in our ever growing online world? SLAY will shock, surprise and scare, taking inspiration from campy horror that has come before it.
