The Hyde Park Hotel is being taken over on November 13 – some of Perth’s rising comedy talent is banding together for a night of stand-up to raise money for local community causes. The Rotary Club of Northbridge is hosting Live Comedy at the Hydey, bringing together Raw Comedy national finalist and MC Scott Northover with Molly Kerr, Chris Pucillo, Aaron Smyth and Josh Mason-Wood. South African-born Pucillo draws on growing up in 1990s South Africa and navigating suburban life in Perth while Smyth comes to the Hydey fresh from winning the 2026 Next-Gen Comedy Championship. Yorkshire-born Mason-Wood, a former semi-finalist in the UK’s So You Think You’re Funny? competition, draws on an unconventional upbringing that included growing up on a boat, while comedian, actor and writer Kerr finds laughs in parenting, everyday life and its absurdities. Live Comedy at the Hydey starts at 8pm on November 13 at the Hyde Park Hotel, 331 Bulwer Street, West Perth, with $20 tickets available through Humanitix and proceeds supporting the Rotary Club of Northbridge’s local community partners.
