What's On

Two Weeks

Merrigong Theatre Company’s annual artists’ program, MERRIGONGX presents Two Weeks by Siobhán Doran-Chaston at the Illawarra Performing Art Centre from the 28th to 30th May 2026.

First drafted over twenty years ago, loosely inspired by the lives of Siobhán and her now-husband, and her work as an usher at Riverside Studios in London, Two Weeks is an intimate play that tackles the big questions — life, death, the universe — to uncover the staggering truth, beauty, humour, and triviality in all our lives.

Rosie and Tom are a seriously loved-up, screenwatching, couch-rotting, twenty-something couple who spend their nights riffing on everything and nothing.

But as they find solace (and a quiet magic) in each other and the mundane, a countdown has begun towards a cataclysmic event that will change everything.

There’s a palpable playfulness to these performances, disciplined, drilled and delightful. There’s fire, bite and fun and lots of kissing.
