Subiaco Arts Centre, 180 Hamersley Rd, Subiaco
26 -31 March 2026

Who did in Mad Padraic's beloved cat on a lonely road on the island of Inishmore - and was it an accident? He'll want to know when he gets back from a stint of torture and chip-shop bombing in Northern Ireland: he loves his cat more than life itself.

Martin McDonagh’s pitch-black comedy The Lieutenant of Inishmore is a ferocious satire on political violence and the absurd extremes of devotion, gleefully dismantling the romanticism of terror with shocking humour and blood-soaked wit.

Thu 26 March @7:30pm; Sat 28 March @7:30pm; Mon 30 March @2pm (Matinee); Tue 31 March @7:30pm.
Duration: (Subject to change) 2 hours (TBC)

Age Recommendation: 16+Content Warning: Contains violent scenes that some may find disturbing, extremely graphic blood violence, extreme coarse language, adult situations, strobe lighting, smoke and haze effects. This play is not intended for the easily offended. No real cats will be harmed in the creation of this production.
